Settings
Cost controls, backend preferences, run limits, and credit overview. Settings apply locally in the current session. Real persistence and enforcement are not yet implemented.
Cost Control
Cost-Safe Mode
When enabled, prevents any run that could incur real costs. Disable only when AWS Braket integration is live and you have confirmed pricing.
Cost-safe mode is ON by default. This blocks any run that could incur real costs — including all external simulators. This is the recommended setting until real pricing is configured and you explicitly opt in.
Backend Preferences
Default Backend
The backend selected by default when opening the composer or submitting new workloads.
Require Simulator Before QPU
Require all circuits to pass a simulator run before being submitted to a QPU. Helps catch errors before consuming QPU time.
Disable Real Hardware
Globally disables submission to any physical QPU backend. Useful during development to prevent accidental QPU usage.
External hardware access remains disabled until ALL of these conditions are met: (1) cost-safe mode is OFF, (2) Disable Real Hardware is OFF, (3) Require Simulator First is satisfied by a prior local run, (4) external service credentials are configured, and (5) sufficient credits exist. Currently none of these are configured.
Run Limits
Max Shots Per Run
Maximum shots allowed per circuit run. Higher shot counts increase runtime and potential costs.
Free local simulator limit
1,000 shots
Managed simulator limit
5,000 shots
QPU limit (when available)
500 shots
Daily run limit
50 runs
Credits
Credit Balance
0
No credits configured. Credits are required for managed simulator and QPU runs. Local simulator runs are always free.
Settings are applied locally in the current session only. Real settings persistence, cloud sync, cost enforcement, and billing are not yet implemented. Credit balance is stored in browser localStorage and will be replaced by server-side credit management when billing integration is complete.
